In my art I like to focus on themes of love, loss, hope, anger, depression, and more… basically all the human emotions and elements. These have been feelings that I went through at the time, and needed to be expressed outwardly.
Art Based on Emotions
For me, art is both a release of emotions (a type of therapy) and an interpretation of those emotions. For example, when I went through some very tough times a few years ago, I would draw continuously about what I felt . On the other hand, when I have positive experiences I feel obliged to express them too.
Sometimes I like to draw from the heart.
Such is the theme for this drawing. This artwork was produced after met a beautiful lady, whom I recently married. It expresses feelings of love, and a certain closeness felt at the very moment you realize you have met your “sole mate”.

Graphite Drawing on Bristol Paper

The artwork above features two heart forms in an everlasting embrace. The realistic hearts extend and intertwine, forming a heart symbol. What results is a type of logo representing “true love”.
The idea here is simple and to the point. Two lovers are making a connection that can’t be broken, and stands the test of time.
