This is painting two of my Crab Triptych series (center painting). Each painting depicts separate views of the same crab.
During my time working in a fish plant for about 7 years, we processed millions of pounds of crab. They are a very familiar sight for myself, along with cod, capelin, and mackerel. The fishery here isn't what it used to be at one time. I've been getting very few shifts at the fish plant this past summer - it appeared to be closed for good at one point. I don't mind though - I've been painting lots, and writing for Artpromotivate - something I now consider my new "job" :))
