Entwined Oil on Canvas 4X5’ 1997 Purchase Print
This original oil painting, entitled “Entwined” is available as a limited edition art print at Fine Art America. The print is available in a variety of sizes, and as canvas prints, posters, framed and matted, acrylic prints, and greeting cards.
The original painting is in my personal collection. I created the oil painting in 1997, during my second year of art school. The artwork actually went through a long process, spanning two semesters. An original painting on this canvas consisted of two separate model sessions, one male (left) and the other female(right).
So, the artwork originated as a study of human form, and juxtapositioning of figures. The second semester was a “free for all”, meaning we were free to paint on any subject we wanted. I chose to rework this painting, and turn it into much more than a painting project. Actually, it is a painting that greatly influenced the development of my personal style.
